Why Should You Pay Someone to Write Your Blog Posts?

Anyone can write a blog post. If you can string a sentence together, you should be able to knock up a legible blog post without too much effort. So why should you bother to hire a blog writer when you could do it yourself?

1. Save a whole lot of time

Writing blog content is time-consuming. But, you think, you can write one in 20 minutes and start sharing it a minute later. Sure, that’s certainly possible if you don’t care much about the quality of your posts. Good blog content takes time to write, partly because it’s not just the writing that matters. To bring together a blog post that will benefit your business, you need to:

    • Choose relevant keywords
    • Decide on a topic that will attract your audience
    • Research
    • Consider formatting and layout
    • Write the post
    • Edit the post
    • Optimise for search engines

After all that, you’re probably going to want to add some extras before publishing your post, such as links, images and other content. Now multiply it all by however many blog posts you want to publish each week or month, and you could spend a lot of your precious time managing your blog. When you hand the responsibility over to a professional, it’s all taken care of for you.

2. Post more frequently

If you do decide to write your own blog posts, it’s often a struggle to produce as much content as you would like. You might have time to post sporadically or even manage a regular one or two posts. When you want to step it up, you can find that you just don’t have the time, energy or ideas. Choosing to hire a blog writer gives you the reassurance that you can publish blog posts frequently and regularly. While you’re getting on with other things, your writer is able to dedicate their time to keeping your blog going with fresh content.

3. Get the job done properly

You’re a smart person, and you can probably write blog posts yourself. However, are you confident in your writing skills? Can you naturally incorporate your chosen keywords into what you’re writing? Do you have a good grasp on your brand’s tone of voice? You might be able to write a blog post, but can you write a good one? Can you write a brilliant one? How’s your spelling, punctuation, and grammar? What about your research skills? A professional content writer (like me) will make sure the job is done right – and it’s worth paying.

4. Find a writer who has all the good words

Creativity is essential if you want to produce consistently good blog content. You need to captivate your audience and encourage them to keep reading, while simultaneously leading them towards your products or services. You should be able to speak their language, which sometimes means using jargon, slang or colloquialisms, or just a certain tone of voice to appeal to the right people. An experienced writer can adapt their writing style and should never be lost for words.

It’s not essential to hire a blog writer, and I’m not going to pretend it is – you could technically write your own blog posts. It is a smart choice, though – and I’m sure you’re a smart person.
